Family Preservation
We are dedicated to preserving and reuniting families by providing support and resources to keep children in their natural homes. Our program is designed to strengthen family bonds and create a stable environment for children to thrive.
Our Approach
Family Training Program, Inc. serves families referred to us by county agencies. Our Family Trainers meet with families in their homes to develop trusting relationships and gather information about family dynamics and history. After addressing safety concerns, evaluating family strengths, and assessing family needs, FTP works collaboratively with the family, school(s), county agencies and other professionals to implement healthy change.

FTP provides an assessment of its findings and conclusions to the family and the referring agency. Mutually agreed upon goals are developed and FTP staff continue to assist the family with education, support, role modeling, and hands-on instruction of effective behavior management techniques and other skills necessary to stabilize the family.

The length of time a family may receive FTP services is determined between the family, the referring agency, and FTP staff. Involvement can be as short as a few months or as long as 12 or more months, with an average of 8 months.
